What’s up, peeps!
If you missed it, I released a short story in July! (You can find it here!) It’s a sweet story about a woman named Rohanna. Rohanna is a wife and mom who had to make some hard choices in her life (choices that she stands by) and wants to change the opportunities available for her daughter.
This short story - funnily enough - is very different from the stories I usually come up with and work on. I often find myself writing what I read, which is a lot of romance, conflict, and dismantling tradition when it becomes harmful to others.
So I wanted to challenge myself to write a different relationship dynamic.
Along with that - I’ve always been intrigued by the thought that women’s rights have changed so much in the last few generations. (Yes, raging #feminist here.) There was once a time where the daughter just married whoever her dad said to marry and then at a certain point, that process shifted. I wanted to write a story celebrating the women who pushed for change.
What I hope people take away from this story is that the world can change from your daily life choices. You don’t have to be famous or have a big platform to make an impact. Your small decisions can change someone’s life for the better.
Hope you enjoy! Please don't forget to rate and leave a review if you can!
